Rain boots make me feel invincible.
I was walking down the sidewalk to physics wearing my new rain boots. I saw a large puddle looming ahead. Just as I was about to feel helpless, I remembered — I am wearing rain boots. Nothing can stop me now. I triumphantly splashed my way though, smiling to myself. “Take that.”
Wearing socks in the bathroom makes me feel stealthy.
Don’t deny it. You know the feeling. You leave your room, forgetting that your shoes aren’t on anymore. You open the door and start to walk in, and then you see them — the countless little puddles and drips of water on the floor. You look down at your feet but go in anyway. You avoid the droplets like a soldier in a mine field. When you leave the bathroom with dry socks, you have such a sense of accomplishment. You’re practically a ninja now.
Picking up my phone right as I get a text makes me feel telepathic.
Here’s how it works: I’m doing something with my phone nearby but I’m not using it. I feel the urge to check it. As soon at my hand touches it, it vibrates. Kinda creepy — especially when I am picking up my phone to text something to my best friend, and as I pick up my phone he/she texts me about the same thing. That means we were thinking about the same thing at the same time. I know when you spend a lot of time with people they rub off on you, but that’s a little much. That always makes me wonder, how often do we have the same thoughts and just not share them? Think about it… and maybe your best friend is thinking about it too.
